Arlington County greenlights ITS transit technology as an approved vendor for transit schedule screens and as a display element for digital signage. The county provides developers, architects, property managers and County staff with specifications for the design and installation of transportation information displays (TIDs). The location and number of display units are determined by Arlington County Commuter Services on a case-by-case basis to maximize visibility within a building. TIDs are required to display real-time schedules and information for all transportation services convenient to the building including the nearest metro rail station, bus routes and Capital Bikeshare stations that are within reasonable walking-distance of the building. TransitAccess® provides commuter resources with optional mobile accessibility for fully touchless interactive engagement.
